At STAAL Museum you will experience the landscape, history and culture of the Achterhoek. Poet and agriculturalist A.C.W. Staring (1767-1840) loved this region. Following in his footsteps, we show you how beautiful, versatile and hospitable the Achterhoek is. Listen to music in the salon and experience the seasons swinging at the Staringkoepel, a beautiful tea house on the river Berkel. Also enjoy the beautiful images of the Wildenborch castle, where the Staring family still lives. And discover the birds that come to rest in the family tree. All this is part of the permanent exhibition of STAAL Museum.

In addition to this, there is always a temporary exhibition, on the most diverse subjects. Farmers, witches and the kiss were once the theme of a temporary exhibition. Many more fun and interesting subjects will follow, always with a link to Almen, the Achterhoek or Staring. STAAL Museum connects the past with the present in a surprising way and is completely contemporary.

In the Museum Shop you will find nice gifts and beautiful walking and cycling tours. In the reading corner with library there is free coffee and tea. And for the children there is the children's attic and the suitcase of Staring for a trip through the museum.
